Link
road finally opens
By Salina Khalid
THE missing link between Puchong Hartamas and Bandar
Puteri Puchong has been opened to motorists after a delay of four months.
The 300m link, initiated by the
Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) to connect
the two residential areas, was to be opened in June. It was delayed because of to
several reasons, including technical.
“Now that the road is open, motorists can have shorter access to the main road, especially the Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP).
“It also provides an easier access to residents from Puchong Hartamas and Bandar
Puteri Puchong,” said Kinrara assemblyman Teresa Kok during the road’s official
opening on Saturday.
Present at the event were Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo and MPSJ president Datuk Adnan
Mohd Ikhsan.

and Adnan officiating at the opening of the link road connecting Puchong Hartamas
and Bandar Puteri Puchong on Saturday.
Teresa said the road provided an alternative for motorists plying the area and hoped
it would reduce the congestion.
Also, Teresa said the authority was doing its best to ensure residents had the road
access they wanted, including missing links in their areas.
She said there were several areas left unconnected due to various reasons.
“One of the main reasons is that the parties involved can’t seem to reach an agreement
on the construction of the links.
“Sometimes, it involves developers of the affected developments and neighbouring
local authorities, which makes the matter complicated,” she said.
She urged residents affected by the situation to continue putting pressure on authorities
to push for projects.
“Everyone has to put in a concerted effort to get the projects
going,” she said.
